You know what's the BEST misconception that we tell ourselves as business owners?
And as humans?
That once we get to a CERTAIN POINT:
Once we have:
More clients!
More income!
More knowledge!
More people on our email list!
A relationship!
A baby!
A babysitter!
Then....AND ONLY THEN!
Will we FINALLY be free.... >>
There have been SO many times in my life where I thought I was:
"too much"
"awkward"
"anxiety-ridden"
Oh boy, could the list go on.
What I tend to believe, is the battle, or rather journey we face --not only as entrepreneurs-- but as HUMANS, is to step into who we TRULY are without shame....
Without Worry....
Without Doubt....
Without Fear....
Because I very much trust that when we do, we:
To tell you the god-honest truth, I was avoiding doing LIVE videos from my business page on Facebook for awhile now.
A lot of my friends from various non-coach related realms of life are connected to my business page and I've always had this little fear about their reactions to the content I put out.
But then I realized...
That's just a THOUGHT I'm having.
One that I'm choosing to think.
And I was tired of choosing it.
It's funny just HOW much our own thoughts can hold us back. >>
"Stress?" "BFF?"
Are those two words even ALLOWED in the same sentence?!
ANSWER = YES.
In fact, when you make stress your friend, you become less stressed out.
Lemme 'spain ;)
As women entrepreneurs, we all know that building a business brings up a LOT.
Taking care of different people.
Learning different things.
Juggling.
Having expectations of ourselves and others.
Having deadlines met, and having deadlines no where near met.
Technology roadbumps.
Mindset blocks.
We've all been through them all.
But here's what's UP!!! >>
When I was growing up, I was never the girl who raised her hand in class.
I was always too shy to speak up in front of a classroom of my peers.
Too fearful of possibly answering the question incorrectly.
SO...I'd just sit pretty in at my desk and listen to all the other kids who did raise their hands get chosen to answer the teacher's question....
Hi friend <3
When we were growing up, most of us took those "TYPICAL" elementary school classes...
-English
-Math
-Science
And we assumed that those were all we needed to be set up for life...right?!
I'm guessing your childhood BFF never stopped you in the halls before lunchtime to say:
"Hey friend! I'll meet you at the swingset before I head to my --How To Understand My Own Value So I Can Charge My Worth-- class!" ...>>
Usually when we say 'sending love your way' it's because someone is sick, unhappy, or god-forbid knows someone who passed away.
But why don't we send love, just to send love?
I know I never have so much love in my life that I'm like "NO MORE! I CAN'T TAKE IT! Ugh, so much kindness and goodness- it's so unfair!"
Right?!
Yet so often we're impressed with something someone does...
Or want to reach out to someone we feel needs our help...
And we don't. We stay inside our little box.
Because we...
This past Sunday, my fiancé Mike and I spent from 11am -6pm at Bloomingdales, registering for our wedding.
(In case you didn't know, I'm getting married at the end of this summer to my best friend Mike). YAY!
Now, I had been looking forward to the process of walking through Bloomies, checking out dishware, and giftware, and all that jazz...
But!
I was given MANY-a-warning before we went to the store....
When I used to think about "selling," whether through:
👉direct messaging people and offering to hop on a call with them
👉 or promoting my latest offering in Facebook groups
I used to be UBER afraid of IRRITATING people.
I pictured everyone thinking: "Ugh. This girl just wants to SELL me"
OR "there goes Aliya again, waving her 'buy me, buy me!' flag!"
Seems like a simple enough idea, right?
Mmm, not so much, actually. Why?
>>Because SO many of us DON’T REALLY BELIEVE IT.<<
We don’t believe people actually like spending money.
In fact, most of us believe people HATE spending money.
So “what’s the harm in that?!” you ask?
