We are inundated with information. All day. Errrdayyyy!

And, that information?

It’s usually bombarding you with messages that you need x to achieve y.

Or once you get x, you’ll achieve y.

These messages all seem to promise to be the next “big thing” you need to finally accomplish your goals.

The thing is: the pure volume of these message causes intense overwhelm. It’s just too much to process.

And, if you’re like most of us, the feeling of being overwhelmed stops you dead in your tracks and leads to inaction.

You can’t move forward because you don’t know what to do or what the right choice is. Or, you fear you may make the wrong choice.

This is where I see women fall victim to the information overwhelm: They’re stuck. They’re disheartened. And, they feel defeated.

It’s no bueno, my friend!

These “shiny objects?”

They make success feel impossible because so many of them tell you that you’re lacking. They make you believe that success is out there--but not within your reach.

Can I lovingly share something?

I call BS, boo!

SO many of these messages are distractions.

Messages that you need something more are merely empty promises distracting you from the truth that what you truly need to succeed lies within you. In fact….IT IS YOU!

You already have what you need to achieve the success you desire. You have a unique purpose, ideas, and perspective.

You just need to learn how to use your skills to set things in motion to attract clients and meet your goals.

My Advice to Avoid the Shiny Object Overwhelm:

  1. Remember you are enough: You are strong, intelligent, and capable of great things. Exactly as you are. Right now!

  2. Take it one step at a time: Create goals--big and small--that move you towards the business you want.

  3. Keep your eye on the prize: Remember your purpose and your goals. Align everything you do to move you closer to achieving your purpose and your goals.

  4. Ask for help: You don’t have to have all the answers. Use your resourcefulness to ask questions of those who have already been in your shoes.

Trust me. I understand the struggle! I know how convincing those shiny objects can be.

But, I want you to hear this message: YOU--your mission and your vision--are exactly what you need to attract the clients and build a successful business.

You need an objective, a plan, and some encouragement to accomplish your goals and achieve success. And all of that comes from within you.

And, using those skills and insights you already possess, you can form authentic connections that have clients lining up to work with you.

But, just because you can, doesn’t mean you have to travel this journey alone.

Having a person in your corner--supporting you, guiding you, and providing authentic insights that come with experience--makes the process a lot less overwhelming.
