Hi, I'm Aliya!

When I first launched my coaching business I had no idea how to market, strategize, find clients, grow. I was confident in my ability to coach others.

But the whole "building a business" aspect was totally foreign to me. This small part of me knew, though, that if I applied everything I'd learned from coaching school--overcoming blocks, working through limiting beliefs, getting out of my own way--to creating a successful coaching practice...

Then I could make it happen.

So I said yes to it and to all the unknowns and embarrassing moments that came with that....

Like dozens of cringe-worthy sales calls that I didn't know how to navigate.

Spending exorbitant amounts on Facebook ads that got me nowhere.

Hiring the right people...

And hiring many of the wrong people.

I watched other coaches who began their practices after me find clients and success sooner that me.

One night, in my old apartment in Queens I remember sitting in the office and crying to Mike about how I've been trying so hard, and wondering why I still was not where I wanted to be.

I compared myself and my business.

I questioned my choices.

I stumbled. Again, and again.

And often on that same damn rock.

But through all the stumbling blocks...

And all the missed opportunities...

And all the questioning...

And doubting...

The one thing I held onto from the very beginning:

The one belief that somehow never shifted through all the late nights, and unsuccessful calls and efforts, and trial and error and ups and downs...

Was the belief that I could.

That I COULD find success if I wanted it badly enough.

That I COULD get paid to do what I love with people I love.

That - if I set my sights on a goal and committed to the path regardless of and in spite of the obstacles and twists and turns...

That I COULD see it through.

When you break it all down, there's this simple truth when it comes to the way we move through life.....these two very different ways of thinking:

1. The world is happening TO us. We are limited in our choices. What we've been through makes us who we are and what we see directly in front of us shapes our reality whether we like it or not.

OR...

2. The world is happening FOR us. Our choices are limitless. Every time we stop to notice what's beautiful around us, more beauty, opportunities, abundance, choices, appear. What we've been through is a story we tell ourselves to help us understand the world and inform our next steps, but that story can be CHANGED as soon as today. As soon as NOW. It can be recreated to help us grow spiritually, financially, successfully, lovingly into the person we are deep down...into everything we're 100% capable of.

It's not one or the other.

It's not 1 or 2.

It's both.

And when you can dip gracefully and knowingly into the fluctuations of this dance...

You can learn how to dance it YOUR liking.

To YOUR tune.

To YOUR rhythm.

YOUR way.

Don't stop because the music isn't playing.
Start dancing and pretty soon you'll hear a beat.

PS: The clients, opportunities, income, abundance I've enjoyed (particularly now more than ever!)...they didn't come from wishing.

They came from willpower.
